After School Programs

WHIZZkids provides a range of after-school IT programs. All courses are designed to provide basic editing and file management skills and then progress quickly to more advanced topics such as design, layout, working with images and programming. Courses are designed specifically for 9-15 year olds and are delivered right in your own school.

We offer three courses covering Desktop Publishing, Web Design and Video Game Programming. All courses are delivered in schools and participants attend for 1 hour a week for 10 weeks.

Schools or Parents Associations that would like to have these programs run in their area should contact the Whizzkids Office to discuss.

Desktop Publishing

This course focuses on layout and working with images. It starts with the creation of posters and then advances to creating a full comic book. High end design but great fun.

Web Design

Week by week build up a website that focuses on your favourite topics. But be careful, in no time you could be in demand to create a site for your family, school or club!

Video Game Programming

For those of you that are a little more advanced, learning how to create your own video games is a school project that you will love. Learn what is happening behind the scenes and build a game from scratch that will impress your friends with your brilliance.

Gary I had a great time espiecially with the computers. I loved finding out things that I could do with the computer. i think I now know more things than my dad does and he's a computer tecnition!! the sport was great aswell.
