Whizzkids Summer Camps

Whizzkids runs summercamps in locations across the country and include higher level institutes such as UCD, DCU, UCC, UL & NUIG throughout the summer. For a full list of locations, dates & prices click on the booking form.

Our summer camps, run in Ireland's finest Universities, give access to first class facilities, normally only available to third level students. Everyone will have their own PC and we will supply all the other equipment for the camp. During the week you will get hands on time with mobile technologies such as digital cameras, PDA's, Blackberry's & MP4’s.

Classes are broken up by age and those attending are supervised at all times by fully qualified teachers so you can be sure you will be well looked after. Our day camps are for boys and girls aged 8-15. Our residential camps are for 13-17 year olds and are more advanced.

Our mission is to ensure that you have a lot of fun but pick up some valuable skills while you are with us and you will get to bring home a CD with your work on it as a permanent keepsake. We have delivered summer camps to thousands of children and teenagers across Ireland since 2003 and will help you to Discover how much fun IT can be.

Half-Day Camps

Half day camps run from 9.30-1PM Monday to Friday and are open to 8-12 year olds. They will cover web design, spy academy and a little sports each day (weather permitting!!). This new offering is €80 for 1 or €75 for siblings.

Full-Day Camp

The regular camps run from 9.30AM to 3.30PM, Monday to Friday and are open to 9-15 year olds. Each camp is a mix of activities each day all with a high-tech theme. Activities covered include web design, movie-making, online gaming, a host of hi-tech challenges in our spy academy and one sports activity each day. Costs €159 for 1 or €295 for 2 siblings

Residential Summer Camps

Residential Summer Camps are for teenagers only. As well as the multimedia activities of the day camps, residential camps also includes video editing, where attendees will learn everything from camera angles & lighting to editing and effects. There are 2 types. A 6 day on-campus programme which runs from Sunday to Saturday and the Ten Day Tech 'n' Tours which includes excursions off campus. For full details visit Residential Camps

New Summer Camp

By popular demand, Whizzkids have introduced a new Summer Camp this summer. Follow in the footsteps of James Bond, Ethan Hunt or Lara Croft! Activities include code-breaking, CSI investigations, assault courses, spy techniques and more. Your children will learn how to harness technology to complete missions and save the world! Now, won't that look good on their CV.

Christopher has just done the week's camp with you at UCD and he has absolutely adored every minute of it and I just really wanted to thank you - and your team - for running such a good and highly-organised course.  It seemed to me to be one of the best-run and best-structured summer camps either of my two children has ever done and I have been extremely impressed by all Chris has told me. As you will have realised quickly, the course was right up Chris's street - he is mad keen on computers, websites etc etc.  And I know I had this discussion with you on the phone some time ago, when I explained that he had already been working on websites and you said that while he may not learn a huge amount technically he would enjoy it and have a good time - and you were SO right!  He had a ball.  He loved the interaction with the other kids, made some friends, maybe the highlight was getting to use the Blackberry??!!!  I thought the films you produced that they got to bring home yesterday were brilliant too - very enterprising! So, many, many thanks for giving Chris an excellent week - he is truly disappointed that it is finished, he was extremely downcast last night!
